Over the years, we’ve built up a large portfolio of current and former clients.
We have provided our bid consultancy services to many of these clients, with a lot of success. Below, we will outline the details of the work we carried out for just a few of these clients.
Firstly, we worked with a UK-based vehicle body reconditioning company, to help them win a vehicle reconditioning contract with a large car dealership.
Our client was well placed to win the contract, but they lacked the understanding of how to complete a tender, as they had not submitted one before.
The client already had the knowledge and experience necessary to fulfil the requirements of the contract; our job was to communicate this on paper in a professional and cohesive way.
We collected all the key information from the client, such as their accounts, organisational structure and company policies, upon which we noticed that they were missing several policy documents, so we created these for the client as well.
Our finished tender document included all the information required by the tender, as well as the missing policies and an organisational chart.
As a result of our work, the client was successful in winning the tender, thereby securing themselves a lucrative new contract.
Also, they now have the tools and documents to use in any further bids, including a tender document to use as a template going forward.
Our next case study involves a registered charity who transform the lives of people with physical disabilities, by providing them with assistance dogs.
The charity approached us when they were looking to put forward a proposal to become the nominated ‘Charity of the Year’ for a large organisation. The charity was seeking to win this title in order to benefit from the company’s charity fundraising efforts for the year, which were worth over £300k.
Having never submitted anything like this before, the charity needed guidance on how to best sell themselves and meet the criteria. They completed the first draft of their proposal, and then handed it over to us, so we could review the documents and offer advice on which areas they could improve.
As a result of our work, the charity was successful in winning the nomination for Charity of the Year, and secured much needed funds as a result of the corporation’s fundraising endeavours.
Another case study features a construction company based in Milton Keynes.
The company were submitting tenders on a regular basis to one main buyer and always seemed to miss out by only 1 or 2 marks on the quality responses, even though the buyer liked them.
Keen to get over this hurdle, they decided they needed some external support.
During our initial meetings with the client, we reviewed previous bids to see where the points had been lost and put a plan together to overcome this and score full marks instead.
This involved us reviewing the tender documents and quality questions with the client, before identifying missing bits of information and other factors which caused them to lose the final few quality marks.
We then reviewed all their tender documents before submission, which added significant value to the submitted bid.
Our assistance and support raised the quality marks the client was receiving from 3/5 and 4/5 to 5/5. This helped them to secure several lucrative, high profile opportunities within their local area.
