Back in early 2019 one of our longest standing Clients, who we complete on average 4-5 tenders a month for, asked for support on a large Council Tender for Pitched Roof Replacement works on Social Housing accommodation. The tender submissions we complete for this client range from simple SQ forms to complex multi-document ITTs. This opportunity for Cardiff Council was for a Framework and there were a number of ITT documents to complete including method statement responses and example Health & Safety files.
As with all tenders we work on for clients our first role was to work out what the response requirements are so we had a clear idea of what needed to be completed and could start to collate information. As we have worked with this client for over 6 years our library of information for them is extensive, but it still required bespoke elements specific to the works to be collected.
We worked alongside the estimating and surveying department to gather information from them based on their site visits and pricing works to then support our written responses.
For this client we complete a first draft of all documents and submit to the client for review at least 7 days prior to submission. This gives them the opportunity to review the content and confirm any further gaps flagged by us and sign off prior to the final upload and submission deadline.
