07 Mar Chamber of Commerce Awards Seminar
With the Northamptonshire Business Awards open for entry and deadlines closing on the 10th May, we ran a special Chamber of Commerce Member’s seminar this week to help you to put together a successful entry.
Held at the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce Head Office in Northampton, on Monday 4th March 2019 the event was well attended and members asked lots of great questions which resulted in a lively and engaging seminar.
Following the event, Phebe Mason of Ashley Riley Communications posted, “Really insightful presentation from Katy Berrill at the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce event. Katy gave loads of great advice and tips on how to stand out to the judges when entering awards, which was all really helpful. Now to put the great guidance into practice before the deadline.”
Business awards can be used to achieve external recognition for success, promote best practice within your industry or local area and also to motivate and recognise the commitment of your own staff to achieve the highest standards in what they do. This one hour seminar gave a brief overview of how to write and structure a winning awards entry.
During this one hour seminar we covered:
- Selecting Award Categories – why and how
- Understanding Entry Criteria and using it to your advantage
- Structuring your Response
- Ideas for Content and Evidencing Response
- WOW content to set you apart
Over the last 10 years the Team at Bid and Tender Support Ltd have been instrumental in supporting clients in winning a number of industry specific, individual and general business awards to recognise specific achievements and success. For most of us, getting away from being too modest when it comes to writing about our own achievements and successes is easier said than done. Bid & Tender’s expertise is in taking clients successes and stories and shouting about them in a way which meets the criteria but also wows the judges responsible for selecting the Shortlist of Finalists and the ultimate winner.
