The Government have announced a £20 million pot of funding that will be available in grants of up to £50,000 for technology and research- focused businesses to develop new ways of working and help the UK build resilience following the coronavirus outbreak.
The grants will be available to business to come up with ideas and ways of working that will enable supermarkets to better respond to spikes in sudden consumer demand in the food manufacturing, transport, retail. They will also be available for ideas on offering support at home if a similar situation would be to occur again.
They are looking to develop ways of working to boost the UK economy and protect against the long-term impacts of this incident and from future incidents.
